In-Home Support Program

The In-Home Support Program (IHSP) provides temporary support to Northwest Philadelphia residents age 60+ who are facing immediate needs. We focus on providing one-time services that help community members to stay in their homes and communities.

If you are a Northwest Philadelphia resident over the age of 60 and encountering a short-term need, we may be able to help with services including:

Coordinating home support services, including assistance with light routine house cleaning and laundry services for up to three weeks.
Coordinating personal care services, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers and eating for up to three weeks.
Replacing broken appliances, including washers, dryers, stoves, and refrigerators.
Purchasing adaptive equipment, nutritional supplements, incontinence supplies, dentures, hearing aids, eyeglasses, and mobility aids not covered by insurance.

In cases where your needs are longer-term, we can assist you in connecting to local programs and resources that will better meet your needs. We can also provide referrals for home modification programs, transportation assistance, home-delivered meals, and care management.
