About Dance & Fitness Programs
Center in the Park offers a variety of evidence-based programs and workshops designed to empower our community members to take control of their health. These programs focus on chronic disease management, nutrition, wellness, and lifelong learning to promote overall well-being. Aging Mastery Program (AMP):
A ten-session, evidence-based program that empowers participants to embrace aging while promoting positive changes in areas like nutrition, exercise, and financial fitness to help prevent physical and cognitive decline.

Self-Management Programs (SMPs):
These six-week, peer-led programs help participants manage chronic conditions and adopt healthier behaviors. Center in the Park offers programs for chronic pain, diabetes, and other chronic diseases.

Golden Plate:
A monthly workshop focused on nutrition and health, exploring topics like hydrating foods, brain-boosting foods, and food safety to fuel a healthy lifestyle.

Temple University medical students provide informative sessions on common health issues for older adults, including uterine fibroids, glaucoma, and sleep difficulties.
